Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized huge amount of medicines worth Tk 0.7 million from Sadipur bordering area in Benapole early Thursday.
Tipped off, a team of BGB-49 conducted a drive in the area and seized the illegally imported medicines in an abandoned condition, said Major Nazrul Islam, acting commanding officer of Jashore-49 BGB.
However, none was arrested in this connection, according to a news agency report.
The seized medicine was deposited to the Benapole Customs House.
