Assistant land officer Bajlul Haque of sadar union under Nasirnagar upazila of Brahmanbaria has been suspended on charge of taking bribe and other irregularities.
Brahmanbaria Deputy Commissioner Hayat-ud-Dowla Khan confirmed the matter on Saturday, reports UNB.
Local people formed a human chain on Wednesday in front of the office of Nasirnagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer raising several allegations against the officer.
He was withdrawn on that day and attached to the Deputy Commissioner's office.
Later he was suspended, the DC added.
