BTRC’s public hearing on telecommunication services June 12

Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) is going to hold its 2nd public hearing on telecommunication services and its activities in the city on June 12.

BTRC Senior Assistant Director Zakir Hossain on Thursday said the public hearing will be held at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB).

Government, non-government, autonomous organisations, telecommunication service providers, mobile phone users, consumer associations and interested groups will be able to join the public hearing.

Customers' allegations against mobile phone operators, including call drops, different packages and prices of voice calls, will he heard from the participants at the event, reports UNB.

Interested people have been requested to register their names online within June 3 at --www.btrc.gov.bd/registration-form -- to participate in the public hearing.

The telecom regulator held its first public hearing on November 22, 2016.
