Bus rams microbus killing two in Cox’s Bazar

At least two people were killed and five others injured when a bus rammed a microbus at Phulchhari Dargah Bridge in Chakaria upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Liton Das, 28 and Saifur Rahman, 32.

The accident took place around 10 am when a Chattogram-bound bus hit a Cox's Bazar-bound microbus, leaving two passengers of the microbus dead on the spot and five others injured, said Bakhtiar Uddin Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of Chakaria Police Station.

The injured were taken to Chakaria Upazila Health Complex, UNB reported.

On information, police seized the two vehicles, the OC added.
