CAAB signs deal with Halla Corporation to strengthen Sylhet airport runway

The Civil Aviation Authority Bangladesh (CAAB) has signed a deal with the Halla Corporation to strengthen existing runway of Osmani International Airport in Sylhet.

The deal was signed at CAAB headquarters on Tuesday, said a press release.

CAAB's Superintending Engineer Shahidul Afroz and Halla Corporation's representative in Bangladesh TaiGyun Kim signed the deal on behalf of their respective bodies.

As per the deal, the Halla Corporation will implement the project, titled Strengthening of Existing Runway and Taxiway at Osmani International Airport, Sylhet, by June 2020.

This is the second airport project of Halla Corporation in Bangladesh. The local partner of Halla Corporation in Bangladesh is Mir Akhter Hossain Ltd.
