Candidates to face actions for concealing information on wealth

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) chief said actions will be taken against the candidates in the forthcoming election who will provide false or concealed information of wealth in the affidavit.
“We have no headache where the election will be held..it’s the matter of the election commission (EC). We want the candidates to share right information of their wealth to avert action”, he said.
ACC Chairman Iqbal Mahmud said it at a press briefing at the commission on Monday.
Calling upon all the aspirants to mention actual wealth in the affidavit, he said ACC will be closely looking into the matter for the sake of transparency and accountability.
He also assured that the commission will not take any action in a self-motivated way.
