Coast Guard members recovered 420,000 pieces of yaba worth of Tk 210 million from an engine boat at Bay of Bengal at St. Martin of Teknaf in Cox's Bazar on Saturday.
A team of coast guard conducted the drive in the Bay of Bengal and recovered the yaba tablets wrapped in polythene bags and seized the boat, said its Teknaf Station Commander Lt. Jafor Imam Sajib.
According to UNB, none was arrested in this connection as the peddlers fled the scene leaving the boat behind after being chased by the law enforcers, he added.
