Police in a drive detained a man suspected to be drug peddler along with eight kilograms of hemp at Magura village in sadar upazila in Naogaon on Friday morning.
The arrestee was identified as Sekendar Hossain, son of late Mojammel Hossain.
A team of police led by inspector (investigation) Anwar Hossain of Sadar Model Police Station raided the house of Sekender and arrested him along with the hemp worth Tk 12 million.
A case was filed following the seizure, reports UNB.
