Police recovered the body of a housewife from a house in Khaguria area of Bhakurta union in Savar on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Salma Akhter, 17.
Sujon Biswas, sub-inspector of a police outpost in the union, said family members found the body in her room in the morning and informed police.
Later, police recovered the body.
Victim's husband went into hiding after the incident, UNB reports.
It could be said after investigation whether the incident was a murder or a suicide, said the SI.
