Police recovered the decomposed body of a local businessman from Jhama bazar area of the district early Wednesday.
The deceased was Akhtaruzzaman Dablu, 40, son of Rokon Molla of Jhama village.
Being informed by locals that "stench" was coming out from a shop in Jhama bazar, police went to the spot and found the decomposed body hanging from the ceiling, said Tariqul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Mohammadpur Police Station adding that the victim remained missing for last five days.
Later, the body was sent to Magura Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
A case was filed with Mohammadpur Police Station in this connection, according to UNB report.
