A construction worker was killed when a portion of a wall collapsed on him at Uttar Jalirpar in Maksudpur upazila on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Utpal Mandal, 32, son of Upen Mandal of the village.
Inspector Mahidul Islam, in-charge of Sindiaghat police camp, said a portion of a wall of the house of Krishna Bala fell on Utpal while he was engaged in constructing a bathroom there around 5 pm, leaving him injured.
Later, he was taken to Rajoir Upazila Health Complex where the doctors declared him dead, reports UNB.
