The driver of a covered van was killed and three other people sustained injuries in a road accident at Kalihati upazila of Tangail on Friday.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be known, reports UNB.
Asabur Rahman, officer in charge of Kalihati police station, said a Northern region–bound speedy truck hit a covered van from behind around 7:00am, leaving the covered van driver dead on the spot and three others injured.
The injured were taken to Tangail General Hospital.
Police seized the killer truck but its driver managed to flee the scene.
