Two women were killed in a road accident at Nazirabazar in Burichang upazila on Dhaka-Chattogram highway of Cumilla on Wednesday night.
The victims were identified as Farhana Begum, wife of Ashraful Alam of Burichang upazila, and their daughter Kaniz Kanchan.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Moinamoti Police Station Mahbubur Rahman said the accident took place when a microbus hit them while they were crossing the road, leaving them seriously injured, UNB reported.
They were taken to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Cumilla where doctors declared them dead, the OC added.
