Female worker dies after falling from building in Joypurhat

A female worker died after falling from the under-construction Muktijoddha Complex in the bus stand area of Panchbibi upazila in Joypurhat on Tuesday noon.

The deceased was identified as Monwara Begum, 29, wife of Soharab Hossain of Ganeshpur village in the upazila.

Farid Hossain, officer-in-charge of Panchbibi Police Station, said Monwara fell from the under-construction building while working on the 3rd floor, leaving her critically injured.

Later, she was taken to the local upazila health complex, but the on-duty doctor declared her dead, the OC added, reports UNB.
