Fire engulfs lubricant godown in Narayanganj; eight workers injured

A fire broke out at a lubricant warehouse at Nandalalpur in Fatullah upazila of Narayanganj on Saturday morning.

The fire broke out at RM Level lubricant company warehouse at around 11:15am, said Duty Officer Kamruzzaman of Narayanganj Fire Service.

Seven firefighting units from different fire stations including those of Narayanganj, Haziganj, Panchabati rushed in and are trying to bring the blaze under control.

At least eight workers who were working inside the warehouse fell sick after inhaling smoke, UNB reports.

The origin of the fire have not been revealed yet. It will take more than one hour to douse the fire, said Mamun Mahmud, assistant director of Dhaka Fire Service and Civil Defense.
