Four tourists were arrested for hunting birds at Monpura Island in Bhola on Saturday.
A mobile court led by local Executive Magistrate Abdul Aziz Bhuiyan also fined each of them with Tk 50,000 and sentenced a tourist to six-month jail for carrying hemp.
The detainees were identified as Ataul Hossain, 30, Md Mohan Khan, 35, Wahid Alam, 32, and Badal, 30. All of them are hailing from Barisal and Sylhet districts.
Monpura Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Abdul Aziz confirmed the matter, reports UNB.
