A prisoner, who was serving a five-year imprisonment in a drug case, died at Satkhira jail on early Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Golam Mostafa, 30, son of Aziar Rahman of Gayeshpur village in Sadar upazila, says a UNB report.
Satkhira jail super Abu Zahed claimed that Mostafa fell sick in prison as he refrained from having meal since he landed in jail on April 4 after a court sentenced him to five years’ imprisonment.
