Schoolgirl 'commits suicide' in Jhenaidah after failing to secure exam mark

A schoolgirl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of her house in Jhenaidah.

This happened after she failed to secure pass marks in the test examination on Thursday.

The victim was Preeti Rani, 16, daughter of Pradip Ghosh of Bishoykhali village in sadar upazila.

Police quoting family members confirmed that Preeti failing to score proper marks in mathematics has led to the occurrence, UNB reported.

The results were published in Bishoykhali Shaheed Mostafa School on Thursday, and she hanged herself with a scarf from the ceiling of her house in the afternoon.
