Three children of a family drown in Cox’s Bazar pond

Three children of a family drowned in a pond at Chakboitha village in Ukhia upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Fahim, 8, son of Abu Siddique, Tashfia, 6 and her sister Safa Marwa, 3, children of Abdul Kader.

Khairul Alam, chairman of Ukhia upazila, said the three children fell into a pond while playing adjacent to their house at around 5 pm.

After a frantic search, local people recovered the bodies of the three kids and took those to Ukhia Upazila Health Complex, reports UNB.
