Three members of a family have died in a lightning strike in Sadullapur upazila of Gaibandha on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Rasheda Begum, her son Afiz and nephew Nizam, all residents of Saltala village of the upazila, reports UNB.
Officer-in-charge of Sadullapur Police Station Md Borhan Uddin said a thunderbolt hit the tin-shed house amid rain in the afternoon while the trio was in the house, leaving them dead on the spot.
