Truck overturns in Cox’s Bazar, killing five

Five people have been killed and nine others injured as a bamboo-laden truck overturned in front of Balukhali customs office in Cox’s Bazar’s Ukhia upazila on Monday morning.

The deceased could not be identified immediately, reports UNB.

Ekramul Siddik, Assistant Commissioner of Ukhia upazila, said the truck overturned on four human haulers and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw standing beside it around 9am after the driver lost control over steering, leaving five people dead on the spot and nine others injured.
