Two 12-year-old boys have drowned in the Bhogai River in Sherpur’s Nokla.
They were among 15 students of a coaching centre who went for swimming in the river in Rubber Dam area of Tarakanda on Thursday afternoon, Nokla Police Station OC Abdul Hye Siddiqui said,.
Strong currents washed away the victims, ‘Shanto’ and Omar Faruq from Garhergaon village, the OC said, bdnews24 reported.
Locals later retrieved the bodies from the river, he added.
