Two friends have died in a road crash in Bijoyghat area of Nandigram upazila in Bogura on Saturday night.
The deceases were identified as Ferdous Alam, 45, son of late Mayen Uddin of Namuit village and Ismail Hossain, 53, son of late Manik Uddin of Kadma village of the same upazila, reports UNB.
The accident took place on Bogura-Natore Highway when a speeding microbus hit an auto-rickshaw carrying the due around 9 pm, leaving Ismail dead on the spot, said Abdul Bari, chairman of Nandigram Sadar Union.
Ferdous was taken to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital where the duty doctors declared him dead on the same night, he added.
