A man and his minor daughter were killed while his wife sustained serious injuries when a bus hit his motorbike on Bagerhat-Khulna highway at Kathaltala in Fakirhat upazila on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as Anisuzzaman, 40, and his daughter Ranisa, 4, said Azizul Haq, officer-in-charge of Katakhali Highway police camp.
The accident occurred around 9:00am when a Dhaka-bound bus from Rayenda hit a motorbike carrying three people, leaving Anisuazzaman killed on the spot and injured two other family members, news agency UNB reported citing police officials.
The injured were rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital where the doctors declared Ranisa dead, he added.
