Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested a man along with two pistols and 100 round bullets from Kagojpur area in Benapole on Saturday night.
The arrestee was identified as Riyat Hossain, 37, son of Oli Ahmed of Badarkhali village in Chattogram.
Being tipped-off, a BGB team raided a Chattogram-bound bus of 'Shyamoli Paribahan' around 11:30 pm and arrested Riyat along with firearms and ammunition, said Lt Col Ariful Haque, commanding officer of BGB-49 battalion, UNB reported.
The arrestee was handed over to Benapole Port Police Station after filing of a case there.
