Burglars loot Tk 55,000 at Alamdanga upazila complex

Burglars have looted Tk 55,000 from the offices of three organisations at the upazila complex of Alamdanga.

Alamdanga municipality mayor Saifur Rahman said burglars entered the three offices sometime on Thursday night breaking open locks while two on-duty watchmen were sleeping.

The thieves took away Tk 3,000 from the room of upazila parishad chairman’s secretary while Tk 15,000 from the municipality secretary’s room and Tk 10,000 from the UNO’s secretary room.

However, no other valuables were looted.

Officer-in-charge of Alamdanga Police Station Nazmul Karim described the incident as mysterious, UNB.
