Coast Guard members seize Yaba pills worth Tk 75m

Members of Coast Guard in a drive seized huge amount of Yaba tablets worth Tk 75 million from Saint. Martin's Island in Teknaf upazila in Cox's Bazar on Monday.

Tipped off, a team of Coast Guard East zone, conducted a drive in a place between Shahparir Dwip in Teknaf and Saint Martin's Island and recovered the 150,000 pieces of Yaba tablets, after chasing a fishing boat in the morning, said Lieutenant Abdullah Al Maruf, assistant director of Coast Guard.

However, none was arrested as the smugglers managed to flee the scene sensing the presence of the coast guards, reports UNB.
