Police arrested 32 persons including seven drug traders from the district in the last 12-hour.
Police conducted a special drives from different areas of the district in the last 12-hour ending at 8am Friday.
Police also recovered 260 bottles of contraband Phensidyl syrup and 700 liters of locally made liquor.
During the drives, Dinajpur Sadar Thana police arrested 12 persons including five drug traders with 700 liters of locally made liquor from Sheikh Hati village of the upazila , Birganj Thana police arrested four persons, Birampur Thana police arrested two persons, Hakimpur Thana police arrested eight persons including two drug traders with 260 bottles of Phensidyl from College Moor area of the upazila, Khansama Thana police arrested two persons, Kaharole Thana police arrested three persons and Ghoraghat Thana police arrested one person.
Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with different police stations against the arrested persons, the sources added, according to BSS report.
The arrestees were sent to jail.
