Cost guard seizes 0.4m Yabas in Teknaf

Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard have seized 400,000 Yaba tablets from a boat in the Naf River in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Coast Guard East Zone chased a boat in the river near Sabrang Nayapara on Wednesday night, said its assistant intelligence director Lt Commander BN Abdullah Al Maruf.

Sensing danger, boat inmates jumped into the river and fled, he said, reports UNB.

Later, the Coast Guard men recovered around 400,000 Yaba tablets searching the boat.
