A woman was killed when her husband allegedly hit on her head with a stick at Gidnipara village in Sadar upazila on Thursday evening.
Officer-in-charge of Sadar police station Saber Reza Ahmed said Sirajul Islam, 50, at one stage of their brawl hit his wife Tulia with a stick in her head around 6:00pm, leaving her dead on the spot, says a UNB report.
On information, police detained Sirajul around 9:45pm and sent the body of Tulia to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
A case was filed.
