Detective Branch (DB) and Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) in joint drives arrested at least 39 accused in several cases from different places of Jessore city on Monday.
Among the arrestees, 16 were wanted accused in several cases while 10 were held under narcotics control act and the rest 13 held in different cases, said Md Iftekhayer Alam, a senior assistant commissioner of RMP, according to a news agency report.
Legal actions were taken against the arrestees after they were produced before the court, he added.
