Man ‘beats father-in-law to death’ in Pabna

A man allegedly beat his father-in-law to death at Sonaharpara village in Chatmohar upazila of Pabna on Friday evening over a trifling matter.

Md Shariful Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Chatmohar Police Station said Limon, son of Abdul Jalil, a resident of Charpara village, came to the house of his father-in-law Abdus Sattar around 6pm following an altercation between his father and father-in-law.

Over the issue, Limon beat his father-in-law and mother-in-law indiscriminately, leaving them critically injured, reports UNB quoting the OC.

Hearing the screams, neighbours rushed in and took the injured to Chatmohar Health Complex where Sattar succumbed to his wounds.

Limon’s father was detained later over the incident.
