Mirpur militant den: House owner on three-day remand

A court granted three-day remand to interrogate owner of the suspected militant den at Mirpur area of Dhaka in an explosive case. Dhaka third Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Lutfur Rahman Sishir passed the order on Wednesday, reports UNB. Earlier, sub-inspector of RAB-4 Amirul Islam, also the investigation officer of the case, produced Habibulah Bahar Azad, the house owner, before the court with a 10-day remand prayer. The court also shown Habibulah arrested in the case. On September 6, the elite force recovered the skulls of seven people, including of two women and two children, from a suspected hideout of militants at Mirpur Mazar Road after a drive. An unnatural death case was filed in this connection. They also recovered and huge quantity of Improvise Explosive Device (IED) after searching the building on the following day. Besides, the elite force arrested owner of the 6-storey building Habibullah Bahar Azad and security guard Serajul Islam at night in connection with the incident.
