A student of Government Edward College in Pabna was stabbed to death by unknown miscreants near the college premises on Tuesday night.
The victim was identified as Mishkat Mishu, 24, son of Golam Mostafa of Radhanagar area in the town.
Goutam Kumar Biswas, additional superintendent of Pabna police, said a group of miscreants swooped on Mishu and stabbed him indiscriminately while he was returning home around 9 pm, leaving him critically injured.
He was taken to Pabna General Hospital where doctors declared him dead, reports UNB.
Police suspected that Mishkat was killed over previous enmity.
Meanwhile, police arrested a man in this connection.
