A student of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) was hacked to death by miscreants in Keane bridge area of in Sylhet early Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Mehedi Al Salam, a master's student of Economics Department and a resident of Medina Market area. He was an activist of Ganajagaran Mancha.
Miscreants stabbed Mehedi indiscriminately at Keane bridge area on his way to Kadamtoli bus stand for going to Dhaka around 1:00am, leaving him seriously injured, reports UNB, citing Sub- Inspector of South Surma Police Station Ripon.
On information, police rushed in and sent him to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
