Muggers kill man, snatch bike in Satkhira

Miscreants snatched away a motorcycle killing its owner in Nathpara Boropukur Kanda of Sadar upazila of Satkhira district on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Iman Ali (55), son of Zinu Sarder, a news agency reported.

Iman used to run bike on hire. At dead of Monday night, miscreants killed him and later dumped the body in a pond adjacent to his house, said Maruf Ahmed, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station.

Later, miscreants took away the motorcycle.

Locals spotted the floating body in the morning.

After being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Satkhira Sadar Hospital for an autopsy.

There were several injury marks on its head and body, added the OC.
