Members of Narcotics Control Department (NCD) here in separate drives arrested seven drug traders with 5850 pieces of Yaba tablets and 115 liters liquor from different area in the city early Saturday.
The arrestees were Rasheda Begum, 36, Musfique,37, Abul Hashem,20, Ataullah, 18, Jashim,27, Babul, 31 and CNG driver Faruk,28.
On secret information, a team of NCD arrested Resheda Begum and Mushfique with 2500 peices of Yaba tablets from north side of Shah Amanat bridge of Bakalia thana around 5 am, NCD sources said.
In another drive, separate team of NCD arrested Hashem, Jashim, Babul and Ataullah with 3350 pieces of Yaba tablets from Feringi Bazar area under Kotwali thana in the city at 4 am early Friday,says a BSS report.
A metro team of NCD detained CNG driver Faruk with 115 liter country made liquor while crossing under Chandgaon thana in the city at 6 am Saturday.
Three separate cases were filed against them with respective police stations in this connection, the police official added.
