The Airport authorities arrested a passenger at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram on Tuesday morning for carrying 540 pieces of Yaba pills and 200 grams of hemp.
The arrestee is Jamir Uddin, hailing from Hathazari upazila and a passenger of Abu Dhabi-bound Biman Bangladesh Airlines, according to a UNB report.
Wing commander ABM Sarwar-e-Zaman, manager of the airport, said that the drugs were concealed inside Jamir's shoes in a unique way and those were detected during scanning.
