Eight activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir were arrested along with seven bombs from Narayandpur union in Sadar upazila of Jashore district on Friday night.
A team of police, led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Ripan Miah of Narendrapur Police Camp, raided Zirat Alia Madrasa around 12am after being tipped off that a secret meeting of Shibir men was going on and arrested them along with the bombs, UNB reported quoting police.
The arrestees were Ashraful Islam, Mahmudul Islam, Abdullah, Faisal, Awal, Mohaiminul, Shawd, and Abdul Alim.
A case was filed in this connection.
