Police in separate drives from Wednesday night to Thursday morning, arrested 38 persons including two drug pedlars, 14 warranted accused and seized 20 pieces of Yaba pills from different areas of Habiganj district in Sylhet.
Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with different police stations against the arrested persons who were picked up from different areas, said Nazim Uddin, Assistant Superintendent of Police.
The arrestees were sent to jail, reports a local news agency.
