Police found the throat-slit body of a man at Krishnabati village in Monirumpur upazila on Saturday morning.
The deceased was Akbar Ali, 55, a day labourer and son of Abu Taleb of Daharsinga village in Sadar upazila.
On information,police recovered the body of Akbar from his father-in-law's house where he had been living with his family, said Mokarram Hossian, officer-in-charge of Monirampur Police Station.
Akbar's wife Halima said unknown miscreants stormed into their house around 1:00 am and killed her husband by slitting his throat, says a UNB report.
Police detained Akbar's wife, son and daughter for questioning.
