Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a youth for possessing 5,000 Yaba tablets from the Link Road area in Sadar upazila on Friday night.
The arrestee is identified as Shah Alam, 25, son of late Sona Miah hailing from Alikadam upazila of Bandarban district.
Acting on a tip-off, UNB says a team of Chittagong Rab-7 conducted a drive in the area around 11pm and arrested the youth along with the contraband tablets worth Tk 2.6 million
The arrestee was handed over to Cox's Bazar Police Station, said a RAB press release.
