Detectives in a drive have arrested a young man along with 20,000 Yaba tablets from Maizyartek area under Karnaphuli thana of the port city.
The arrestee was identified as Nur Helal, 25.
Asif Mohiuddin, assistant commissioner of Detective Branch of Police (Bandar) said being tipped off, a team of DB police conducted the drive in the area on Sunday night and stopped motorcyclist Nur Helal on suspicion.
Later, they confiscated the Yaba tablets hidden inside the oil tank of the motorcycle.
The DB police arrested the youth and seized the vehicle too, says a UNB report.
A case has been filed.
