Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two alleged drug pedlars along with 1,400 bottles of Phensedyl from Boro Darogarhat area in Sitakunda upazila of Chittagong on Monday night.
The arrestees were identified as Md Nur Alam (50), son of late Edrish Ali, hailing from Katalia village of Feni district and Md Mehedi Hasan Bappy (19), son of Md Kabir Hossain of Jorarganj thana of Chittagong district, a news agency reported.
On secret information, a team of elite force conducted a drive in the area around 11:00 pm and arrested them along with 1,400 bottles of Phensedyl, said Mimtanur Rahman, the Senior Assistant Director (Media) of RAB-7.
RAB also seized a truck.
A case was filed with Sitakunda Police Station under narcotics control act in this regard.
