Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in a drive detained an alleged drug trader along with 5.5 kg heroin from Bhatopara village in Godagari upazila of Rajshahi on Monday.
Being informed, a team of RAB-5 in Rajshahi conducted a drive around 7:00 pm on the house of Shamsul Haq alias Sover (55), son of Thandu Miah and arrested him along with heroin worth about Tk 50 million (five crore), according the RAB sources.
RAB also recovered one mobile phone set and Tk 49,500 cash from Shamsul’s house.
A case will be filed under the Narcotics Control Act, reports UNB.
