Suspected rivals stab man to death in Narail

A man was stabbed dead allegedly by his rivals at Kalabaria village in Narail’s Naragati upazila on Thursday.

Tariqul Sheikh, son of Israfil Sheikh, hailing from the same village was brutally stabbed to death when an altercation erupted between him and his rivals as a sequel to previous enmity.

The victim had long been at loggerheads with Hasmat Talukdar over establishing supremacy in the area, police said quoting local people.

Officer-in-charge of Naragati Police Station, Mahbubur Rahman said on information, police recovered Tarikul’s body and arrested three people from the spot, according to a UNB report.
