Two cleaning workers of Biman Bangladesh Airlines were detained along with 40 gold bars weighing about 4.640 kg at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Monday.
Detained workers are Jafar Iqbal and Joydeb Das.
Director General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate Moinul Khan said customs based on secret information officials searched the duo around 6:30 pm when they came out of a Qatar Airways flight after cleaning.
Later, they seized 40 gold bars from their bodies, he added.
