Police recovered the body of a woman from the underground of a market in Aganagar area of Dhaka’s Keraniganj Sadar upazila on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Noor Begum, 28, wife of Kabir Hossain, the owner of a catering centre in Aganagar area.
Officer-in-charge of Dakkhin Keraniganj Police Station Monirul Islam was quoted by UNB news agency as saying that shoppers spotted the body at the underground of Maksuda Garden Market at around 10:00 pm and informed police.
Later, police recovered the body from the spot and sent it to Sir Salimullah Medical College and Hospital’s morgue for autopsy.
The body bored some injured marks incurred by brick-like heavy, added the OC.
