A woman and her son were electrocuted in Kewa-Bakultala area under Sripur upazila of Gazipur district Thursday morning.
The deceased were identified as Salina Akhter, 35, wife of Anwar Hossain, a resident of Mohonganj Thana in Netrokona district and her son Salim Hossain.
Police said Salim suddenly came in touch with a live electric cable at their rented house. Hearing hue and cry of Salim his mother came to save him and at together came in touch with the wire, reports BSS.
Both of them were sent to Sripur Upazila Health Complex where on duty doctors declared them dead.
