Five ‘robbers’ arrested in Brahmanbaria

Police arrested five suspected robbers while they were fleeing after committing robbery at Noapara village in Kasba municipality area of Brahmanbaria district on Friday.

Local people said a gang of robbers swooped on the house of Rabiullah Mia and kept the house inmates hostage after tying up their hands and legs in the dead of night.

Sensing the presence of the robbers, local people besieged the house and managed to catch five robbers while the others managed to flee, reports UNB.

Later, they were handed over to police, said Mohiuddin, officer-in-charge of Kasba Police Station.
